This ride will be approximately 6+ miles on city streets with some mild hills. \nMeet at Tuscan Son Cafe for a brief introduction to the Metro Bike Share System and road safety. Riders on Metro Bike Share Bikes will be provided a helmet. Riders are welcome to join the fun on their own bikes – helmets are required. \nMetro Bikes are available to anyone 16+\, but does require reservation. DESCRIPTION:Learn the most essential bike repair skills that every cyclist should know for more confident riding.\n\n\n\nIf you are bike-share-curious\, this free activity is for you and will include prizes\, giveaways\, lessons in using Metro Bike Share (MBS) and incorporating it seamlessly into your life. \nIn this hands-on workshop you will learn: \n\nHow to remove and replace your wheel and inner tube\nHow to patch an innertube\nHow to properly clean your chain\nHow to properly lubricate your chain\n\nWe’ll meet at Tuscan Son Cafe for a brief introduction to the Metro Bike Share System and then begin our repair workshop. \nSchedule: \n12:00 pm – 12:30 pm Introduction to the bike share system and road safety \n12:30 pm – 1:15 Inner tube repair and replacement \n1:15 pm – 2:00 Chain cleaning and lubrication \nREPAIR INFO \nLearn the most essential bike repair skills that every cyclist should know for more confident riding\, including Flat Fix and Chain Maintenance in this free workshop at Tuscan Son Cafe \nLocation: Tuscan Son Cafe; 10700 Santa Monica Blvd #150\, Los Angeles\, CA 90025 \nExperience Level: This workshop is great for individuals with beginner or intermediate bike repair skills. No exceptions. \nAbout the Los Angeles Better Bike Share Partnership Living Lab Coalition: \nMetro has a plan to make it easier to get around\, including filling the gap between Metro Bike Share’s Downtown/Central LA and Westside service areas. This expansion project will ensure continuous service coverage and provide additional connectivity between Metro bus and rail services like the D\, E\, and K lines. \nOur program partners are planning activities to build excitement for the expansion.
