Community Rides are an excellent way to get connected whether you are a seasoned rider, or are brand new to riding the streets of LA. Come with your own bike, or use a Metro Bike and meet some new folks while you're at it. Community rides are always free, and utilize bike lanes and protected bike infrastructure as much as possible.

Metro Bike Share 101 - Webinar

Learn about Metro Bike Share from the comfort of your home with our virtual workshop. This 1.5-hour beginner workshop is intended for those new to the MBS system.
Your new knowledge will equip you to ride confidently and utilize MBS Stations near you or any of the 220+ stations across Los Angeles County.
As an added bonus, all participants who complete this course will receive a FREE 30‑Day Pass to help you keep riding.

Pedal, Park and Picnic
Saturday, May 30, 2026
South LA! Ride with us along the Rail-to-Rail corridor and join us for a picnic.
Let's cycle along the fully paved Rail-to-Rail bike path at an easy, no-drop pace starting at the Denker & Slauson Metro Bike Station. We will head east, for around a 30-minute ride towards Augustus Hawkins Park, where we'll stop for a picnic. Snacks will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own.
After we are rested and re-energized , we'll ride back towards Denker & Slauson where the community ride will conclude.

Pedal to the Playa

We're back at the beautiful Marina del Rey for the Pedal to the Playa Community Ride. Join us for this ride by the coast on an easy, no-drop pace starting at Venice & Abbot Kinney Station. The 7.5-mile round trip will take us from a vibrant shopping boulevard through welcoming residential neighborhoods and protected bike lanes on the waterfront.
Kite Festival feeder ride from University & Hoover
Saturday, May 9, 2026 12-2pm
Every year, Clockshop's Kite Festival breathes joy into our city — filling Los Angeles Historic Park and the sky above it with color and connection. This year's festival is organized around the theme Take a Breath. We'll embody this theme by riding at a relaxed pace, on a low-stress route of 4.7 miles. Taking this opportunity to be present in our surroundings and feel the air that we breathe. By being mindful of our transport choices, we take steps in our commitment to protecting our planet.
