Reduced Fare Passes

Get Discounts with CalFresh

CalFresh recipients are now eligible to enroll for Metro Bike Share passes on the Metro Bike Share website. A Golden State Advantage card (EBT) and credit or debit card are required.

To enroll, visit our pricing page and select a pass. You will be asked to enter the 16 digit number on your Golden State Advantage card to verify your eligibility before you complete your purchase.

  • $5/month or $50/year
  • Unlimited 30-Minute rides
  • Rides are just $1.75/30-minutes after the first half-hour
  • Electric Metro Bikes are free to unlock
  • Bikes are available 24/7/365 throughout the service area

Reduced Fare & LIFE Passes

Reduced Fare TAP card holders and Low-Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) patrons can enjoy discounted 30-Day and 365-Day Metro Bike Share passes through taptogo.net.

If you are approved for one or both subsidized programs, discounts for Metro Bike Share will apply automatically at check out for a Metro Bike Share pass.

30-Day Pass

$5/month

  • All rides 30 minutes or less are free
  • $1.75 per 30 minutes thereafter

365-Day Pass

$50/year

  • All rides 30 minutes or less are free
  • $1.75 per 30 minutes thereafter

Reduced Fare is available for:

  • Seniors (62+)
  • Persons with Disabilities
  • College / Vocational Student
  • K-12 Student (must be 16+ to ride Metro Bike Share)

Low-Income Fare is Easy (LIFE):

The Low-Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) program provides transportation assistance to low-income individuals in Los Angeles County.

Adult riders, Senior/Disabled, K-12 grade students (must be 16+ to ride Metro Bike Share) and College/Vocational students are eligible if their incomes are:

2 $45,050 or less
3 $50,700 or less
4 $56,300 or less
5 $60,850 or less
6 $65,350 or less
