The City of Los Angeles is planning active transportation improvements to create a low-stress, all-ages walking and biking route that connects Koreatown and Pico-Union as an alternative to the high-traffic Vermont Avenue. Spanning nearly two miles along streets like New Hampshire Avenue and Berendo Street, the corridor links key destinations such as Berendo Middle School, Loyola High School, and Metro’s Wilshire/Vermont Station, while addressing safety gaps by reducing vehicle speeds on local streets, improving major crossings, and enhancing access to schools and transit.
