Join LA County Bicycle Coalition and Metro Bike Share for this beginner & family-friendly ride to celebrate Bike Month, sponsored by Metro’s Bicycle Education Safety Training (BEST) Program. The ride will begin at the Downtown Santa Monica Metro Bike Share Station located at the E (Expo) Line station on Colorado Ave between 4th and 5th Street.

We will ride from the Metro Station along the beach bike path ending at the new Bike Share Station at Oceanfront Walk and Navy Street. For those needing to get back to the Metro Station, there will be a return ride. For those interested in continuing the festivities, there will be a beach cleanup with games, swag, and cool refreshments.

Pre-registration and attendance confirmation is required for all participants. Once you are registered, we will send you a waiver and location information to confirm your attendance. If you are attending with other family members, each person must be registered separately in order to attend. Register now to guarantee your spot!

If you need to use a bike, Metro Bike Share will be making a limited number of bikes available to use for this event at no cost to the user. If you are interested in trying Bike Share, please reserve an “I need to borrow a bike” ticket when you register. All attendees who join this ride will also receive a code for a FREE 30-Day Metro Bike Share Pass redeemable at any time. You can redeem this code online at metro.net/bikeshare or in the Metro Bike Share app.
