Bridge to Bridge East LA Community Ride

February 18 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Join Metro Bike Share for a special Metro Electric Bike Community Ride from the new Little Tokyo / Arts District A & E Line Station to Boyle Heights and back featuring the First Street and Sixth Street Bridges!

Beginning in Little Tokyo, we will set out to explore the First Street Viaduct (completed c. 1929) with sweeping views of the Los Angeles River and Downtown Los Angeles. Riding across the bridge to Boyle Heights, we will leisurely pedal through the neighborhood and pause for a short 30-minute picnic in Hollenbeck Park. We will then ride back over the stunning Sixth Street Viaduct (completed c. 1932, demolished 2016, completed c. 2022) and through the Arts District, returning to 1st & Central.

All riders who reserve a Metro Electric Bike will be given basic urban riding instruction and the opportunity to use a Metro Electric Bike in a supportive environment. Please pack your own food/snacks if you’d like to eat in Hollenbeck Park.
