  • Take the Metro A Line (Blue) or Expo Line to Pico Station, directly across from the Los Angeles Convention Center.
  • Metro Bus: 28, 30, 81, 442, 460, J line (Silver)

Conditions: 2.7-mile route from Los Angeles Convention Center to Little Tokyo, primarily flat with bike lanes or bike-friendly streets. Please be alert and courteous while you ride and use your best judgment. As a reminder, please never leave your Metro Bike unattended.

Historic Core Route:

  1. Release a Metro Bike from Figueroa & Pico.
  2. Use the pedestrian crosswalk to cross Figueroa St. along Pico St. and enter the bike lane on the street's right side.
  3. Proceed north on Figueroa St.
  4. Turn right onto W 7th Be sure also to use the bike lane.
  5. Turn left onto S Main St. using the bike signals. There is a bike left-turn box located in front of the crosswalk. Turn left into the bi-directional separated bike lanes situated to the left-hand side of S Main St.
  6. Turn right onto W 1st There will be a bike lane for approximately two blocks, and then you will merge with traffic.
  7. Use the pedestrian crosswalk at 1st and S Central Ave. to cross towards the Japanese American National Museum. Be sure to dock your bike properly at 1st & Central. Listen for the three beeps to ensure your bike has been returned.

2nd Street Tunnel Route:

  1. Release a Metro Bike from Figueroa & Pico.
  2. Use the pedestrian crosswalk to cross Figueroa St. along Pico St. and enter the bike lane on the street's right side.
  3. Proceed north on Figueroa St.
  4. Turn right onto W 2nd Be sure to use the bike lane and enter the tunnel.
  5. Turn left onto S Main St. using the bike signals. Turn left into the bi-directional separated bike lanes located to the left-hand side of S Main St.
  6. Turn right onto W 1st There will be a bike lane for approximately two blocks, and then you will merge with traffic.
  7. Use the pedestrian crosswalk at 1st and S Central Ave. to cross towards the Japanese American National Museum. Be sure to dock your bike properly at 1st & Central. Listen for the three beeps to ensure your bike has been returned.
